Spirit of Community Awards

Two big events, one great night! Join us on Tuesday, September 20th, 2011 at the Red Robinson Show Theatre as we kick off the evening to celebrate the extraordinary volunteers in our community at the Spirit of Community Awards. Afterwards partake in the TriCities’ premier food and lifestyle show. We promise you will leave the evening inspired, satiated and merry.

Nominations are now open for 2011! Help us to recognize and celebrate the extraordinary men and women of the Tri Cities, Anmore and Belcarra who voluntarily contribute their time, talent and/or resources to make our communities strong and livable for all.  Deadline for nominations is Friday, June 3rd, 2011.

Nominations are in 9 categories. Each award is sponsored and presented by a different organization. The ceremony is attended by many of our distinguished community members, including city mayors and council members.

Do you know of an unsung community hero? Well, now is your chance to nominate him or her. The Spirit of Community Awards provides residents of the Tri-Cities area an opportunity to honour individuals who are "community builders." Anybody who lives, works, plays, or has made community contributions in the Tri-Cities can be nominated. We want to help you honour your family, friends, and co-workers who selflessly show responsible citizenship by tirelessly working to create healthy communities through their tremendous contributions and commitments.

Please take the time to recognize an outstanding responsible citizen. We take nominations all year round.
