Crystal Meth Education Task Force

In partnership with Port Coquitlam Community Policing, SD43, PLEA, MCFD, SHARE, Rotary of Port Coquitlam, Poco Parks and Rec, POCOMO Youth Services Society, and Children of the Street, we are all working together to raise community awareness and connect to the youth regarding the rising issue of Crystal Meth use.

The education task force is only one piece of the puzzle. We need to connect to the youth, their families, and the community. Working in collaboration with prevention and enforcement partners we have a goal to reduce Crystal Meth use in our community.

This issue is becoming more prevalent in our schools and on our streets. We can not continue to turn a blind eye. This is why the task force has been started. Our vision is to see our youth healthy, happy and connected to their families, communities and lives again.

We look forward to seeing local Citizens and the Task Force move forward with their plans. As UBCM has stated to us, "Communities play a vital role. They are closest to the problem and with these grants, are in a better position to find innovative solutions."

Please contact us if you would like to be involved.
