Stories of Challenge Day

I want to thank you so much for allowing me to b part of this wonderful day... I know my guys had a great time even though it was hard for them to do the feeling,,,(4 autistic boys), It was nice to be  able to expose them to a environment that was totally excepting of them and at the same time as being with their peers. It also brought up allot of emotions for myself being in a group where similar situation were being discussed that I was dealing with personally. I was so glad we as facilitators had been encouraged to dig deep and share allowing others to share REAL...Challenge Day was a very unique experince.  A day of being equal with all. I was very impressed to have a 12 year old boy put his arm around me to comfort as I crossed the line!!  Thank you.  Gayle.  (Adult Volunteer)

I thought it was good that we got to share our deep thought because, I never shared what I shared with my group ever before and it felt like a relief to jet get it off my shoulders. It was also fun to get to know other people in the most weird and wacky ways every.  Brittney (Student)

Thank you for allowing my son to participate in the day of Challenge Day.  He was having problems in school, with friends and we were having many family conflicts.  I wasn't at this day but can tell you that my son is different.  He says that this was the best day of his life.  From his actions I belive him.  THANK YOU for all you do.  As a parent I can tell you that this day had a huge effect on my son in a positive way.  We do not have problems at home and my son now enjoys going to school.  Thank you.  (Parent)
